Sometimes you encounter a work that vibrates at the same frequency as your own. When we saw ‘Steel grass’ by the French studio Aérosculpture, we felt an immediate connection. It carried a stillness and a monumentality that felt like home.

In its original form, the installation was intimate—about ten elements. But we felt a calling to see what would happen if we amplified that signal. We wanted to take that seed and let it grow until it consumed the landscape.

For Sofia Lights 2024, we worked together to bring the vision to a scale it had never reached. We planted hundreds of these blades of steel, some rising as high as a seven-story building.

It became a dialogue with the elements. The steel didn’t just stand there; it breathed with the wind and played with the natural light of the sun. It was minimalist, yet massive. By expanding the scale, the meditation became deeper. It transformed the park into a space where you didn’t just look at the art—you lived inside its rhythm.
